Large property managers are built to operate at scale. Co-hosting is built around individual properties.
With a national manager, your home is typically one of hundreds (or thousands) in a portfolio. Guest communication is often handled by rotating teams or call centers, pricing is standardized, and owners can struggle to get timely, clear answers.
Co-hosting works differently.
As a co-host, I manage a small number of properties and stay directly involved in every listing. I personally handle guest communication, actively manage pricing, and make decisions based on what’s best for your specific property — not what’s easiest to apply across a large portfolio.

This is a big advantage of the co-hosting model. When you work with a large firm , they often host your home on their corporate account. If you leave, you lose your reviews and start from scratch.
With me, the listing is hosted on your account.
You own the digital asset, the photos, and the 5-star reputation we build together. If we ever part ways, you take 100% of that success with you.

National managers often charge high markups for simple tasks (like $75 to change a lightbulb).
I don't believe in profiting from your property's maintenance.
I use trusted local contractors who charge fair market rates, and I never add a "co-host markup" to their invoices (you pay them directly).
You always pay what the plumber or handyman actually charges, period.

With a national firm, a guest might wait hours for a call-back from a remote agent.
Because I am local and manage a limited portfolio, I am the one who responds.
We know where your water shut-off valve is and which local locksmith is actually reliable.

No long-term contract. I believe good service should earn retention and you can leave anytime.

Transparency is key. Unlike firms that collect money and send you a statement 30 days later, Airbnb is set up to split the payout automatically. You receive your rental income directly from the platform, and my co-hosting fee is sent to me at the same time.
